I had a great meal at the Bandstand when spending a Sunday night in Nairn before flying back home to Amsterdam the following morning. The front of the restaurant (the part with the sea view) was too packed with locals to get a seat (always a good sign), but a beaming waitress offered me a table in the bar section behind, which I gladly took, told me about the specials ("sweet pea and broccoli soup, it's really good") and took my drinks order. Then another beaming waitress arrived with the drink and took my food order (and said the haddock and chips was really good when I asked if I should have that or fish pie). The food arrived and it was excellent (great recommendations) - high-end pub food really, good presentation and great service. I wrapped up with sticky toffee pudding, a coffee, and a walk on the beach. A very good choice (it was between the Bandstand and the Classroom, which also looked good, but a bit quieter and a bit more expensive).
